2026 EMEA President’s Club
Crete, Greece
Intercontinental Crete
130 attendees
Set along Crete's spectacular coastline, our client welcomed their top-performing EMEA associates and their guests to the island for a President's Club that celebrated achievement through the warmth, culture, and traditions of Greece. The event balanced time to relax with opportunities to discover the island's storied history, exceptional hospitality, and the rhythm of its communities.
Throughout the week, guests experienced Crete through a collection of thoughtfully designed adventures that showcased the island's landscapes, food, and way of life. They navigated winding mountain roads by Jeep to visit family-owned farms, where they foraged for fresh ingredients, learned about traditional beekeeping, goat milking, and cheesemaking, and prepared a farm-to-table lunch alongside Cretan hosts. Others sailed the coastline aboard catamarans, explored historic villages and archaeological landmarks, sampled regional olive oils and Cretan pastries, painted the landscape, and lingered over leisurely meals in neighborhood tavernas. Every experience was intentionally rooted in the destination, offering guests a real connection to Crete's culture and its people.
One of the week's signature moments took guests to Plaka Village by boat, where they explored the charming streets with custom coins that could be redeemed in local shops. The experience encouraged guests to engage directly with village merchants while discovering unique products. As evening fell, everyone gathered in traditional tavernas for family-style dinner celebrating Greek hospitality, complete with lively music, folk dancing, and the spirited tradition of plate breaking. The combination of unscripted local interaction and joyful celebration created an evening that quickly became one of the most talked-about highlights of the event.
The gifting marketplace celebrated Crete's long history of leather craftsmanship, where guests selected from an assortment of belts, wallets, bags, and shoes. A Cretan cobbler demonstrated the techniques behind the shoemaking, giving guests an opportunity to appreciate the skill and artistry that goes into each pair. The experience offered a meaningful connection to the destination while allowing each guest to take home a keepsake made on the island.
By weaving Crete's culture, craftsmanship, cuisine, and hospitality throughout the guest journey, TPG created an event that was rooted in its destination and left attendees with a genuine appreciation for the island and its people.
